Solar Powered Railway Warning Signal via LED

Railway Switch Beacons are produced under AY-SOLAR® quality and R & D Works in order to provide safety in train directional mechanisms, switch traverse mechanisms.

The fact that railway switch beacons are manually operated, this increases the risks. This product has been designed as a result of consideration of all risk factors and parameters at the research and development stage. As a result, this signal warns both the switch operator and the train operator when the switch beacon malfunctions.

The railway switch beacon work in connection with the switch traverse where there is line changes on railways.

The switch beacon turns green when line change is safe and possible. When The switch mechanism is operated by the operator, the switch disconnects from one line and connects to the desired one. As the switch mechanism begins operation, the red warning beacon begins flashing. This visual warning signal warns the train operator as well as the switch operator and enables precaution to be taken prior to change of line. As long as the warning light flashes, an audio signal also operates. The railway switch beacon, by flashing and giving an audio signal, warns the operators that the lines are not fully locked for safe passage. When the switch mechanism is fully locked to the other line, both visual and audio signals stop and the LED warning light turns on for safe passage. The visual and audio warnings that only stop when the lines are fully locked help the operator to control the mechanism more efficiently.

 
 
In the event that despite All audio and visual warning precautions are taken the system malfunctions, highly reflective surfaces have been used to provide necessary warning as if it is the warning beacon. As such, in the event of electricity failure, the train lamps reflect on the warning sign and the train operator is warned. The reflective material is placed on PCB LED card prior to LED assembly. In order for the reflective material to be highly functional, LED lighting is assembled over the reflective material. This way, a double sided visuality is obtained on a single surface.

Ultra FLUX LED is used on illuminated warning systems. LED lamps have a working life of 100.000 hours, which means that there are no such things as maintenance or parts renewal on the system. Therefore, the railway switch beacon is a product with almost no operating costs and has a long working life.

Railways switch beacons energy input is in accordance with Standard energy level requirements used at railways. At the same time, in areas where there is no mains network connection or is far from network connection, this solar powered switch beacon enables greater safety to be achieved on railway lines.

The entire energy requirement of the railway switch beacon is met via the solar energy generation post near the railway line The solar energy module on the post and the battery as well as the accumulator at the rear section of the panel collects the energy easily. When at the design stage for solar powered post system (PV), all parameters regarding the fact that the beacon must work 365 days without any problems as well as energy production differences between the various geographical regions. Properly calculated and designed railway switch beacons can be used efficiently for many years without any operating costs.

The desired system can be designed so as to work on 24 hour basis or only in day hours. Depending on the system required, the necessary system equipment is designed to stand and operate autonomously at least one week. The switch beacon continues to work non-interrupted due to the electricity generation from the sun.
